| Bio: | "Technology Support Specialist"--ie, I support the folks who teach and make their computers work and teach them how to use the technology. It's a good gig. Also play Rock Band and board games and working to build a social network in town (defined as: people I can pick the phone up after a miserable day at work and relax, or have tea with on the weekends...because I like tea and I like human contact and I don't get enough of either). Tossing around the idea of writing a book (or at least some articles) on depression era glassware that is decorated with silver. Really pretty stuff. But so little research on which companies did the decoration. Only child. Graduate of IMSA and Bradley University (so if you wonder why you are on my friends list, maybe I knew you at one of those?), and got my masters at UoI, though I don't talk about that much. I enjoy fiction writing but I haven't done any to speak of since partway through undergrad. I am slowly getting back into reading. Bookcrossing.com is helping with this. My real name: Umm....I answer to Kai (assorted pronounciations), Kat, Kathleen, Kathi, Kayote, and most varients of the above. I don't answer to Kate, Katie, or Katherine, though. About the login. Most places online I'm known as kayote. Up until recently, I had no problem getting the name. But it must have appeared in some book or something (mutter) as it's now taken on larger sites when I try to sign up. So I'm reduced to kayoteelsewhere here, amazon, and yahoo. :P But I'm not giving up a name I've been using since 1999! (And earlier, but I don't have records for how much earlier). | |
